“ Jack and Esther are fab hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The location is spot on, with lovely views of the river, footbridge and Friars Walk. The coffee is quite possibly the best in South Wales, thanks to Northstar Roast. The WiFi is strong, fast and free. The cakes/pastries are baked to perfection. The brunch menu is amazing, especially the BBQ sweet potato and chorizo bake - my new comfort food! ”

Ham and cheese croissant was fabulous. Eat inside or outside on the terrace overlooking the bridge. Highly recommend. ”
“ Stopped here for a half pint before an evening game at Rodney Parade. What a lovely little spot. Chilled atmosphere and really friendly and attentive service from the owner. Felt quite European - which is meant as a compliment! Just a shame I was only there for the night so couldn't try the coffee as well. ”
“ Stopped briefly to rest and grab a mint tea. Nice tranquil settings and the staff are really friendly. The tea was served in a nice pot and tea cup with saucer. Cosy seating options are available, multiple places to sit both inside and outside. I was made to feel welcome and served promptly. I visited on a Sunday morning and it was not busy at all. Menu selection is breakfast based with pastry options. There is an alcohol menu I guess for the afternoon but I didn’t see lunch options on the menu. Overall this is a cute but central oasis to stop and fuel your body. The smashed avocado on brown sourdough toast looked amazing, very large portions too. A great place to sit and work too, I spent sometime on the laptop here. Thank you thank you thank you ”
“ Saw the hot chocolate menu and I popped in, lovely friendly guy serving, the best hot chocolate I've tasted in ages and a beautiful outside seating area (I came when it was sunny) seating inside and out, and clean funky painted toilets. Will be back! Thank you ”
